HIM – the Health Initiative for Men – has monthly events called Condom Packing Parties. People get together at a gay bar to hang out, chat, and assemble HIM’s safer sex kits over some free food and drinks. These gatherings are a great way to meet new people and to create connections within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The events are open to self-identified men (trans, cis, and other men), two-spirit and non-binary folks who also identify as gay, bi, queer, asexual, or who are into guys. A group of us from Connecting Queer Communities will be heading over to join their party at Judge Begbie’s Tavern at 600 Columbia St. (near Columbia Skytrain Station) on Sunday March 8th from 3-5pm.
The event is free to attend but there are limited spaces. If you want to join the CQC folks who are going, please email john@real-talk.org for more information. We might also be able to help with transportation if it’s too expensive for you to get there.
