Connecting Queer Communities will be marching and boothing in the 2025 Vancouver Trans March!
Connecting Queer Communities (CQC) is a social group for folks with cognitive disabilities who are 2SLGBTQIA+, curious, questioning, or who want to hang out with their queer friends.
Connecting Queer Communities (CQC) will be continuing to celebrate the 2026 Pride Season by marching in the Vancouver Trans March on Friday, July 31st. Wear your CQC t-shirt if you have one, and register your spot to join us! Also be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen!
We will meet as a CQC group at 5pm at Trout Lake Community Centre (click for Google Maps link). There will be pre-march activities happening at Trout Lake Park, such as welcome speeches and free sign making. At 6pm, we will march with everyone up Commercial Drive, which should take roughly an hour, and the march will end at Victoria Park (click for Google Map link) for the Trans March Festival. There, will be booths set up, and live entertainment. If you get hungry, there are many restaurants all along Commercial Drive, a short walk from Victoria Park. The Trans March Festival at Victoria Park will be a fun, small gathering with live performances with ASL interpretation, small vendors, a clothing swap, and free vaccines from local health authorities. It will go until 9pm.
For this CQC event, we’re asking folks to bring a hat, some sunscreen, a water bottle, and some money if they want to buy food or drinks at the end of the March. If you need help getting to the Vancouver Trans March, or you need ASL interpretation, email Kelsey at kelsey@real-talk.org.
