A bold new sexual health initiative in New York centres youth aged 16-24 with cognitive disabilities.
The project is a partnership between the Self Advocacy Association of New York State, YAI, Sinergia, City University of New York’s Disability and Aging Justice Clinic, New Alternatives for Children, AHRC New York City, and Planned Parenthood of Greater New York.
It aims to develop curricula, tools, and resources that best serve the needs of diverse learners in order to address sexual health inequities experienced by this population. The big names involved with the project suggest that it will be well-resourced and robust. Find out all about it here.
