posAbilities’ Link! SRS Program will be hosting a free online Sexual Health Education course for youth with cognitive disabilities ages 12- 18, beginning March 12th. To promote their new course, Link! shares the following:
“Diverse learners can have a hard time finding sexual health education that is adapted to their needs. Misinformation and lack of accessible information can lead to situations that make a person particularly vulnerable to a variety of risks. Our series will empower a person’s exploration of sexuality in a safe and healthy manner. Topics covered include: self advocacy and rights, consent, online safety, public vs private, healthy relationship qualities and sexual wellness and more. Learning about healthy sexuality improves a person’s quality of life and increases their safety in community.”
