We know that many people with diverse abilities need support around dating, love, relationships, and sex. Much of the conversation focuses on the barriers they face. Community Care Workers who are uncomfortable / unsupportive around sexuality are often identified as being one of these barriers. Yet many supportive Community Care Workers themselves face barriers when it comes to discussing sexuality with the people they serve – even when everyone wants these discussions to happen.
