CQC joins Lavender Bunch as we make somatic art together!

Lavender Bunch is a social group for queer women and nonbinary folks that meets a couple of times a month.

(Lavender Bunch is not a faith based group. All denominations – as well as  atheists & agnostics – are welcome to attend.)

At this event, we’ll explore the practice of ‘somatic art’. Somatic means:

  • Somatic Therapy / Somatics: A form of body-centered therapy that recognizes how stress, anxiety, and trauma become trapped and expressed physically in the body.

  • Somatic Practices: Instead of just talking through thoughts (like traditional psychotherapy), somatic practitioners use breathwork, body awareness, gentle movement, and tension-release exercises to help regulate the nervous system.

If you love making art, or feel brand new to it, this promises to be a gentle and cozy exploration of tuning into our bodies and expressing ourselves creatively. Please join us!

There will be CQC staff at this event if you need a hand with anything. If transportation is a barrier, please contact Kelsey at:
