Connecting Queer Communities will be marching and boothing in the 2025 Vancouver Trans March!

Connecting Queer Communities (CQC) is a social group for folks with cognitive disabilities who are 2SLGBTQIA+, curious, questioning, or who want to hang out with their queer friends.

Connecting Queer Communities (CQC) will be continuing to celebrate the 2025 Pride Season by marching and boothing in the Vancouver Trans March on Friday, August 1st. Wear your CQC t-shirt if you have one, and register your spot to join us! Also be sure to wear sunscreen!

We will be meeting folks at the Trout Lake Community Centre at 5:30pm. The event will start with speeches, land acknowledgements, and welcomes. Then we’ll begin the march and head up Commercial Drive together, all the way to the end of the march at Victoria Park. This is where the Trans March Festival will take place. There, we’ll have a CQC booth set up, where we’ll be helping folks make buttons and answering questions about CQC. If you get hungry, there are many restaurants all along Commercial Drive, a short walk from Victoria Park. The event goes until 9pm.

For this CQC event, we’re asking folks to bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and some money if they want to buy food or drinks at the end of the March. If you need help getting to the Vancouver Trans March, or you need ASL interpretation, email Kelsey at kelsey@real-talk.org.
