The Rainbow Support Group Guidebook has lots of stories of 2SLGBTQIA+ people with intellectual disabilities, and tips for their supporters.
The guidebook was created by and for 2SLGBTQIA+ people with intellectual disabilities, and has chapters like:
- Our Stories
- Human Rights
- How to Support
- Sex Education
- A Letter to Families
It’s written in clear, accessible language and has many videos. This is a great resource for organizations, for staff, for families, and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are 2SLGBTQIA+ or questioning their identities, or curious. Hearing others’ stories can be powerful, and can help us feel less alone.
