SUMMARY:Drag Communion at Shaughnessy Heights United Church
DESCRIPTION:This is a CQC Guest Event – A church service led by liturgists who are also drag performers\, followed by a brunch. \nA queer-led service of Holy Communion led by four drag queen liturgists\, inspired by the unconditional love and acceptance offered at Drag Brunch. The service at Shaughnessy Heights United Church will be followed by a brunch and conversation in the fellowship hall\, with a love offering taken to support Rainbow Refugee. Developed in partnership with Shaughnessy Heights United Church and Christ Church Cathedral Vancouver\, this ecumenical eucharist welcomes everyone to Come As Who You Are. This pilot program\, if successful\, hopes to bring Drag Communion on a seasonal basis to host churches around the Lower Mainland. \nStick around afterwards for brunch! \nThis is a CQC GUEST EVENT. This means there will be a CQC staff person there to greet you if you attend\, but we will not be able to arrange transportation.
